Meet Your Coach
Coach Steve - a runner who remembers what it’s like to start from the beginning.
I began my running journey in September 2024, at the encouragement of several of my running clients. Starting with a 16 minute mile and a goal to complete the Grove Express in Downers Grove, IL on Thanksgiving day. Two months later I crossed the finish line in 30:09 - and a love of running was born.
I kept training and in May 2025, completed my first marathon in 4:12. Along the way, I experienced first hand how massage therapy improved recovery, reduced fatigue, and helped me stay consistent through the demands of training.
Today, I combine my personal running experience with the evidence-based recovery practices that define Optimal Performance Massage Therapy. My coaching philosophy is built on progress over perfection-helping runners build confidence, avoid injury, and discover what their bodies are truly capable of.
Running taught me how powerful consistency and recovery can be.
